Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff set the stage ablaze with their electrifying performance at the grand opening ceremony at IPL 2024.The event occurred at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, which is also commonly referred to as the Chepauk Stadium. The Bade Miyan Chote Miyan actors performed on several songs like Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo, Desi Boys and more. Multiple clips from the opening ceremony have gone viral on social media.

In one video, Akshay Kumar appears on stage with lively enthusiasm, dancing to his popular song ‘Desi Boys’. In another clip, he is seen riding a bike with Tiger Shroff holding the Tricolour flag behind him, while the stadium echoes with the song ‘Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo’. Watch the clips here:

In addition to Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, the audience was treated to performances by music maestro AR Rahman and acclaimed singer Sonu Nigam, who sang stirring patriotic melodies. Joining AR Rahman on stage were singers Mohit Chauhan, Neeti Mohan, and various others, adding to the enchanting musical atmosphere.

Following the captivating performances, the captains of both teams, Faf du Plessis and Ruturaj Gaikwad, were seen alongside IPL officials, posing for photographs.

In the first match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and chose to bat first. It marked Ruturaj Gaikwad's debut as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain, while Virat Kohli made his comeback after a two-month hiatus. CSK's overseas players include Rachin Ravindra, Daryl Mitchell, Maheesh Theekshana, and Mustafizur Rahman. Conversely, Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, Alzarri Joseph, and Du Plessis featured as the four international players in RCB playing 11.
