The second season of the Tamil language crime-thriller series Iru Dhuruvam released on OTT giant Sony LIV today. The series stars Prasanna, Sai Priyanka Ruth, Abdool, Jeeva Ravi, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Linga and Ajit Koshy in pivotal roles, and is helmed by Arun Prakash.

The plot of Iru Dhuruvam season 2 revolves around a dedicated cop who goes after a manipulative motivational speaker suspected to have carried out several murders. Recently, popular Tamil star Nandha talked about Prasanna starring in a crucial role in the series. In an interview with India Today, the actor said, “Prasanna and I have known each other for a long time; we are buddies. When it was announced that he was part of this season, I think the anticipation from the audience went up. People were asking what role he was playing and his popularity is definitely a big advantage for us.”

The actor further added, ”Prasanna’s role is important – it’s only when you have a strong antagonist that the protagonist also becomes strong. He's a very talented actor.”

Talking about the series, Nandha said that audiences will love watching Iru Dhuruvam because of its strong content. “Yes, today, there are many web series that are there as compared to when we released season 1 in 2019. But what will make the difference as to what works and what doesn’t with the audience is the content,” the actor was quoted as saying. 

Nandha further added, “People are exposed to a lot of content now and it’s the content that matters. I think Iru Dhuruvam has strong content and, since Season 1 was a success, Season 2 should also work with the audiences.”
