Bigg Boss is a reality television show that follows a format in which contestants live together in a specially constructed house for a specific period. The show is known for its drama, conflicts, and challenges, and the interactions between the contestants are unscripted in the sense that there is no specific script for what they say or do on a day-to-day basis.

However, it is widely believed that the show is "produced" rather than being entirely unscripted. This means that while the interactions and reactions of the contestants are spontaneous, the show's producers may influence certain situations, events, or tasks to create more drama and entertainment for the audience. They might set up certain scenarios or provide suggestions to the contestants to generate conflicts or emotional moments.

SHWETA TIWARI

Former winner of Bigg Boss, Shweta Tiwari, had revealed in a conversation with Hindustan Times, “I don’t watch Bigg Boss that often. To be very honest, Bigg Boss is very entertaining and people keep talking about what has happened, but when I watch the show, I don't know what to believe because I know a lot of it is edited. Many times, long conversations are only shown as two lines in the show, which then leads to misunderstandings.”

AASHKA GORADIA

Though Aashka Goradia didn’t call the show scripted, she did term it ‘edited’. She had said, “My sexuality was portrayed in a wrong way. I was intentionally made to come across as a lesbian on this reality show through editing tricks and it was extremely embarrassing for me and my parents. I was rubbing balm on a sick fellow inmate's body after she had broken into an allergic reaction... I was putting my hand inside her blanket so as to not embarrass her about her rash on national television and they made it look like something else was going on.”
