Paatal Lok 2: More than two weeks have passed, yet Paatal Lok Season 2 starring Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead, continues to make waves with its gripping new storyline and the standout performances of its cast. The crime thriller web series has received applause from viewers. Amid the success, confusion arose among netizens after they spotted Abhishek Banerjee's name, who played Hathoda Tyagi in Season 1, in the co-writers credit. The post-credit sparked speculations, and now Abhishek Banerjee has cleared the air and put all rumours to rest.
Paatal Lok fame Abhishek Banerjee recently released a statement to address the Paatal Lok 2 credit rumours. His statement read, "There are two Abhishek Banerjees in Bollywood—one writes, the other acts. Let’s not confuse the two. And please, give the writer Abhishek his due credit. He’s earned it.”
The Stree 2 actor also stated that he is a successful casting director and actor and doesn't possess the writing skills that the Paatal Lok 2 writer has. “If I ever wrote something, it’d probably get rejected faster than my first audition. Trust me, if something’s well-written, it’s definitely him," he continued.
Abhishek also revealed that he knew his namesake, the writer, from his struggling days in the industry. He recalled how he jokingly told the other Abhishek once, “You should really think about changing your name. The day I become famous, people will think I’ve written all your stuff."
