Siddhant Chaturvedi, known for his versatile performances in Hindi cinema, gained widespread recognition for his role in the blockbuster film 'Gully Boy,' where he portrayed the aspiring rapper MC Sher. His compelling performance showcased his acting range and earned him critical acclaim. Since then, he has starred in several successful films, including 'Bhoot Police' , 'Gehraiyaan', 'Bunty Aur Babli 2' and now 'Yudhra.' The action film directed by Ravi Udyawar, stars Siddhant, alongside Malavika Mohanan, Raghav Juyal, Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, Raj Arjun, and Shilpa Shukla. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under Excel Entertainment, the film released theatrically on September 20, 2024.
As the film released in theaters, Siddhant exclusively talked to Jagran English about choosing the right script. He revealed he never outright rejects a script; he believes in giving each one the respect it deserves. However, there are times when he feels a particular project isn’t in his current zone, even if the script is good.
Further the actor added, he hasn’t encountered any bad scripts so far but it’s really about timing. "I think none of the scripts which I've got till now are bad. It's just the timing of it. Sometimes, I feel like, you know, I'll be on his own. I'll be on my own. I would love to do this film 2, 3 years down the line. So I always convey that but I never have come across that I have never come across that I have never done this script. Because scripts, I don't think scripts are bad. Art is subjective. So I always give that due respect. So that rejection also comes within, with a heavy heart, I feel. So the timing of it has to be right. Like, what I wanna do next? What mood I am in is what actually matters a lot," Siddhant Chaturvedi told JE.
