‘It’s Good That Ba***ds Worked…’: Emraan Hashmi Opens Up About The Ba***ds Of Bollywood’s Unexpected Hype

Emraan Hashmi is currently riding a strong wave of success after he became a part of two highly-appreciated projects. The actor has been receiving immense love for his cameo role in Aryan Khan's directorial debut series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. Emraan also appeared as the lead actor in the courtroom drama, Haq, alongside Yami Gautam. Recently, Hashmi opened up about the overwhelming response to his cameo and responded to the unexpected hype it created. He also shared the reason behind returning with Awarapan 2, which is a sequel to the super hit movie, Awarapan.

Emraan Hashmi has been ruling the Hindi film industry with his power-packed performances and his striking screen presence for years now. With his recent performances, he continues to dominate the industry with his diverse roles and consistently reinvents himself to offer the audience an even better version of himself. Recently, in a conversation with SCREEN, he opened up about the unexpected hype his cameo in The Ba***ds Of Bollywood generated. He said, "It’s good that Ba***ds worked, and that cameo blew up. Haq is apparently a huge, smashing hit. It’s on 6 worldwide on the worldwide charts."

Hashmi was also asked about why he opted to work on Awarapan's sequel, to which he said, "I’m not doing Awarapan 2 for nostalgia. This film has been planned for the past 7 years. We just happened to stumble upon a script. We were holding off on a sequel but when we read a script that was taking Shivam's journey ahead, we got to it. It's not cashing in."
