Jana Nayagan, an upcoming Tamil movie starring Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles is slated to hit theatres on January 9, 2026. The Deva actress has announced the completion of her portions for the upcoming movie. Meanwhile, Thalapathy Vijay has also reportedly wrapped up shooting for Jana Nayagan earlier this month. According to reports, the actor is stepping away from cinema after this movie to focus on politics. Jana Nayagan marks Pooja Hegde’s reunion with Vijay after their successful collaboration in Beast movie.

Pooja Hegde took to Instagram story and shared a selfie with the caption, "And with today's shoot, it's a wrap for me on Jana Nayagan." The Beast actress reportedly spoke about her excitement of working with Vijay again, praising his grounded demeanor and professionalism. "He makes everything feel so smooth on set," she said. Pooja Hegde as per reports in Times Of India also described her experience working on Jana Nayagan as ‘bittersweet’ since it's Vijay's last film. "A part of me is sad that it's his last film because we love to watch his films, and I mean, I love his films," she said. "And more than anything, it should just be treated as a celebration," she further added.

Jana Nayagan features an impressive ensemble cast, including Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Shruti Haasan, and Priyamani. The soundtrack is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with rising star Hanumankind lending his voice to one of the songs. The Tamil movie has already made headlines for its record-breaking deals. The film has secured a massive satellite rights agreement with Sun TV for Rs 55 crore and OTT rights with Amazon Prime Video for Rs 121 crore. The makers have also purchased the remake rights to Bhagavanth Kesari for Rs 4.5 crore.
