Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ is inching closer to its release date. The film will hit theatres on September 7, with fans eagerly waiting to catch their favorite star on the big screen. After the blockbuster success of ‘Pathaan’, Shah Rukh Khan is back with a better and bigger promising action drama. With just one week to go, the box office predictions of ‘Jawan’ have already started doing rounds, with the noise of ‘King Khan’ ready to beat his own film’s opening collection record.

‘Pathaan’ raked Rs 1050 Crore at the global box office and collected Rs 524 Crore in India. The opening day collection of ‘Pathaan’ was Rs 57 Crore in domestic market. Looking at the current buzz of the film, ‘Jawan’ is likely to create havoc at the box office and is touted to mint around Rs 85 Crore on its opening day.

On Wednesday, the makers of ‘Jawan’ conducted a grand audio launch of the film in the presence of Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Sethupathi. The launch took place in Chennai, and was also attended by Anirudh Ravichander, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, Priyamani, and Yogi Babu. The official trailer launch of ‘Jawan’ will take place at Burj Khalifa, Dubai, on August 31.

According to a report in New18, trade analyst Taran Adarsh says that the first-day collection of ‘Jawan’ will be record-shattering. He said, “Jawan is like a tsunami, typhoon and earthquake all combined. Due to the high demand, the makers are planning round-the-clock shows and the first-day collection of only Hindi language can be easily in the range of Rs 60-65 crore net. Apart from that the buzz in the South language is also high as the film is directed by Atlee and has some of the biggest names from the Tamil industry including Vijay Sethupathi and Nayantara. The combined net box-office number for the first day can go up to Rs 85 crore in all languages."

Another popular trade guru Ramesh Bala, who was also present at the audio launch in Chennai said, “The fan frenzy is unbelievable. If I have to purely talk about numbers, Pathaan collected Rs 57 crore in India on day one, of which Rs 55 crore is from the Hindi version and the remaining Rs 2 crore from the dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions. I am sure Jawaan will collect at least Rs 20 crore more in the dubbed versions."

Echoing a similar sentiment, Taran Adarsh further added, “For me, Shah Rukh ranks from 1 to 5 and all actors come after him. The craze for Jawan is unprecedented. He is expected to dominate even the South market and with the audio launch on Wednesday, I believe the idea is to position him as the first Bollywood actor to cross Rs 100 crore only in the South box office."

On the other hand, producer and trade analyst Girish Johar said, “The advances are yet to open and the numbers of screens are yet not yet allotted across languages, but having said that I am expecting huge numbers over the weekend at the global box-office and the film should breach the Rs 300 crore mark gross box office globally. The film has a huge advantage in the South markets and SRK along with the makers is focusing on promoting the film in Southern states and the strategy is working."
