John Abraham wowed away the audiences with his portrayal of the lead antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster film, Pathaan. The actor nailed the negative role and the audiences just could not stop gushing over him.
With the mega success of Yash Raj Films’ spyverse films, head honcho Aditya Chopra reportedly plans on reviving the action-thriller film franchise, Dhoom. The filmmaker is already holding meetings for the same and the film might just be on its way.
“Earlier this year John Abraham broke the mould with his performance in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. His rendition of the main villain certainly created waves, and the audience too loved his performance. So if Yash Raj Films is looking to cast him yet again in a negative role it will come as no surprise,” a source close to news portal Bollywood Hungama revealed.
Reportedly, John Abraham is a regular at the meetings being conducted at Yash Raj Films’. "If anything is finalised, it will be at one of these meets,” the report added.
Meanwhile, Aditya Chopra already has big plans for his spyverse. The filmmaker will be producing films including Tiger 3, War 2 and Tiger vs Pathaan in the upcoming years.
For Tiger vs Pathaan, Aditya Chopra will be casting Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in one of the biggest films of Bollywood.
“YRF isn’t talking about this project just yet because they have grand plans to announce it in a massive way but a lot of work has already started on Tiger vs Pathaan. We are expecting the film to start rolling in January 2024,” a report in Bollywood Hungama cited a source as saying.
"While Pathaan was a comical take on the bond shared by Tiger and Pathaan, Tiger 3 is going to be intense. The plot of Tiger 3 warrants a certain amount of intensity and that would reflect in all the action sequences. In Tiger 3, the two megastars will team up for a big jail break action scene which will be shot for 2 weeks at Yash Raj Studio in Mumbai in the month of April,” the report added.
