Joker 2 On OTT: The popular franchise brought the second part of the movie on October 2. The psychological thriller received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics. It was helmed by Todd Phillips who also directed the first part. Joker: Folie à Deux was made on a budget of around USD 190–200 million. It earned at the box office USD 193 million. About Joker 2
The story revolves around a failed comedian Arthur Fleck who is struggling with his dual identity. His life changed after he met the love of his life Harley Quinn, while being imprisoned at Arkham State Hospital. Joker: Folie à Deux stars Lady Gaga, Joaquin Phoenix, Zazie Beetz, Harry Lawtey, Jacob Lofland, Brendan Gleeson, Tim Dillon, Catherine Keener and Steve Coogan in prominent roles. Joker (Part 1) was released in 2019. The first part touched the hearts of people across the world. The movie was led by Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix.
In an interview with IGN, Phillips shared that the makers have never intended to depict the Joker origin story. He said, “The first film is called ‘Joker’, not ‘The Joker’. And in the script, it was always labelled ‘An origin story,’ never ‘THE origin story.’ It’s about the idea that maybe this isn’t the Joker we know. Maybe he’s just the inspiration for the Joker.”
