Jung Hae In has addressed the dating rumours involving him and his Love Next Door co-star, Jung So Min, which were fueled by their recent overseas photoshoot in Bali. In a recent interview, Hae In clarified their relationship, stating, "There’s only a one-year age difference between Jung So Min and me. Since we’re childhood friends in the story, I thought it might feel awkward if we didn’t become close. So, even before filming began, we all got along well. Neither of us are very extroverted, but when introverts become close, there’s a certain vibe. It’s true that we’ve become very comfortable with each other, and that childhood friend vibe came through."

During the press conference for his upcoming film I, The Executioner (Veteran 2) on September 11, 2024, Hae In was asked about the authenticity of the dating rumours. He laughed off the question, stating, "I would like to make no comment." However, he acknowledged that their strong on-screen chemistry might be leading to these speculations. Hae In mentioned, "Our chemistry is so good that it has led people to think so. Not just in the drama, but in behind-the-scenes and promotional videos, people say we look good together.”

Hae In elaborated on their connection, saying, "We got along really nicely on set and used to joke around a lot. Jung So Min guided me and made me comfortable, which made me trust and rely on her." He emphasized that their rapport was natural and effortless, contributing to their believable portrayal of childhood friends in the series.
