Jungkook's Health Takes A Hit In The US: BTS member Jungkook delivered a performance in New York as part of 'Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series', on Friday,' despite unfavourable weather conditions in the US city. This marked a significant milestone in his career as he became the first K-pop solo artist to grace the GMA stage.

Jungkook's show took place just hours after the release of his solo track 'Seven.' Following the performance, Jungkook engaged with his fans in a live session on Weverse. During the interaction, he candidly shared that he wasn't feeling well and revealed that his health had worsened after arriving in New York.

Jungkook Opens Up On His Health:

Speaking to fans, Jungkook, as translated by a Twitter user, said, "To be honest my condition wasn't that good either and it got worse once I landed. But don't worry, it's getting better... it's not Covid-19, I got tested. Due to the weather, the concert was cancelled after the rehearsal, so it was unfortunate." He added, "I prepared a mic since my throat condition isn't that good."

Shedding light on his latest music video, he said, "I wanted to see your reactions, the music video is quite fun right? How should I say, somewhat the plotline and theme isn't something you get to see usually in music videos." Speaking about the filming experience, he said, "I remember now shooting the music video here it was quite hard. The weather was cold but since the water was warm, I didn't catch a cold."

During the session, Jungkook also expressed his gratitude towards actor Han So-hee, who appeared in the music video, for her significant support during the acting process. He acknowledged that although he knew his role and what was required in the music video, when the camera started rolling, So-hee's outstanding performance greatly helped him. Regarding the funeral scene in 'Seven,' Jungkook mentioned that he believed it was a scene that resonated with viewers. "The scene you guys like the most, I think it comes out here. It's a scene that makes one annoyed, right?," he said while laughing.

Fans wished Jungkook a speedy recovery after they learnt about his poor health. A user commented on Twitter, "It's okay you still did so much. Jungkook I hope you get well soon." Another remarked, "He's working hard. I hope he gets well soon." "Poor Kookie was sick and had to perform in the rain at an ungodly early hour? Wow. The performances - you would never know what he was dealing with. What a professional. But not surprising," a third added. "I hope you’ll get better recovery. Stay healthy and stay strong," a fourth shared.

During the live session, Jungkook also cut a strawberry cake. "I heard the cake is quite expensive so I wanted to try it. It is delicious." Prior to signing out, the singer added, "I am always thankful (to you) and as I always move keeping you guys in mind. You guys too please cheer for me steadily and I'll also keep working hard while thinking of you guys.. I'll keep running."
