Filmmaker Karan Johar, who made his directorial debut with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, also joined the celebration by sharing a nostalgic video montage. The clip included both memorable scenes and behind-the-scenes moments from the film. In his caption, Karan fondly looked back on the film’s impact, highlighting the friendships, love and laughter that shaped the story. “Of cool neck chains, neon shirts, pink headbands, summer camp with only dancing involved, wishing on toota taaras, cheating in basketball, dosti that turns into pyaar, and characters that live through time and beyond!!” Karan wrote. He expressed his gratitude for the experience, adding, “To my first film as a director. To the best cast & crew on set. To taking that feeling of day one and keeping it alive….26 years later!”

KKHH fans were delighted to see Kajol and Karan’s posts, reliving the magic of a film that continues to resonate with audiences. Kajol even shared her thoughts on Anjali’s evolution, recalling a fun interaction from last year with Humans of Bombay. She humorously mentioned how her version of Anjali today would opt for track pants and expensive sneakers over a saree, saying, “My version of Anjali would never be wearing a saree. She would be wearing those track pants and fab, expensive sneakers and make that look good.”
The film’s love triangle between Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), Anjali (Kajol), and Aman (Salman Khan) also remains a topic of discussion. Reflecting on it, Kajol revealed that while she may have leaned towards Aman’s character on a script level, the film’s ending had to be what it was. “If you watch the film, there is no choice about the ending; it has to be the way it is,” she shared.
