Kalki 2898 AD Part 2 Update: Kalki 2898 AD is one of the blockbuster movies of 2024. Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles, the movie has been directed by Nag Ashwin. As fans await for the movie’s next part, the director recently opened up about the same during his visit to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, where he offered special prayers to Lord Balaji in the early hours. During an interaction with the media, Nag Ashwin revealed that the script work for Kalki 2 is currently underway and progressing at a rapid pace. 

He also announced plans to commence shooting for the sequel by the end of this year. This exciting development has generated significant buzz among fans, who are eagerly awaiting the return of the film's beloved characters. Notably, Nag Ashwin had previously hinted at the importance of Prabhas' character, Karna, in the sequel. During the re-release promotions of Yevade Subramanyam, he revealed that Karna would have more screen time in Kalki 2, with the story majorly centered around Karna and Ashwatthama.

About Kalki 2898 AD: Kalki 2898 AD was initially set to hit theaters on May 9, 2024. However, due to the need for additional post-production work, the release was postponed. The film finally made its worldwide debut on June 27, 2024, in various formats, including standard, IMAX, 3D, and 4DX. With a staggering production budget of Rs 600 crore, Kalki 2898 AD holds the distinction of being the most expensive Indian film ever produced.

The film's box office performance was nothing short of remarkable, with estimated global earnings ranging from Rs 1,027 crore to Rs 1,200 crore. This impressive haul has enabled Kalki 2898 AD to set multiple box office records for both Indian and Telugu films. Notably, it has become the second-highest-grossing Indian film of 2024 and the fourth-highest-grossing Telugu film. 

The movie’s success can be attributed to its captivating storyline, impressive visuals, and the talents of its ensemble cast, including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan. The film's music, composed by Santhosh Narayanan and production by Ashwini Dutt, have also contributed to its widespread acclaim.
