Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut has officially returned to film sets and resumed shooting for her upcoming project, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata. Despite her busy political schedule, Kangana has made it clear that she is continuing to balance both her public responsibilities and her acting career. On Monday, the actor shared an update with her fans on Instagram, confirming that work on the film has begun. Kangana reposted a video originally shared by her production banner, Manikarnika Films Production, giving a glimpse into the early days of the shoot.

The video shows Kangana Ranaut arriving on the film set and interacting closely with director Manoj Tapadia. The two can be seen discussing the setup and going through the script before the shoot begins. Dressed in a light-coloured suit and holding papers in her hand, Kangana appears focused and deeply involved in the creative process. Reposting the clip on her Instagram Stories, Kangana wrote, “Nice to be back on film set." The post quickly caught the attention of fans, many of whom expressed excitement about her return to acting. The update also confirmed that Kangana has begun filming Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata while continuing to fulfil her political commitments.

What Is Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata Movie About?

At present, the makers have kept most details about Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata under tight wraps. Very little is known about the plot or supporting cast. However, when the film was officially announced in 2024, it was revealed that Kangana would play “the central role in the film which will showcase the remarkable stories of ordinary people and their extraordinary achievements.” The film is expected to focus on inspiring real-life narratives, highlighting everyday individuals whose determination and courage lead to extraordinary outcomes. More information about the storyline, release date and cast is expected to be revealed in the coming months.

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut was last seen in the political drama Emergency, a film she also directed and co-produced. In the film, Kangana portrayed former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, with the story centred on the 21-month Emergency period between 1975 and 1977. The film featured a strong supporting cast including Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade and Milind Soman. Despite the ambitious subject and Kangana’s dual role as actor and director, Emergency failed to make a significant impact at the box office.

Alongside her return to Indian film sets, Kangana Ranaut is also preparing for a major international milestone. The Queen actor is set to make her Hollywood debut with the horror drama Blessed Be the Evil. The film will be directed by Anurag Rudra, who has co-written the screenplay with Gatha Tiwary.
