Several Bollywood celebrities, including Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher, Mika Singh, Shekhar Suman, and his son Adhyayan Suman, have responded to Kangana Ranaut's recent 'slap' incident. The actor and BJP MP, alleged that she was slapped and verbally abused by a female CISF constable during a security check at the Chandigarh airport. The incident occurred as Kangana was traveling to New Delhi after her Lok Sabha election victory from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi constituency. There are speculations linking the slap to Kangana's controversial remarks on the farmers' protests in India.

The incident involved Kangana Ranaut being slapped by a CISF official named Kulwinder Kaur, who has been suspended and is now facing legal action. Reacting to the situation, Shabana Azmi tweeted, "I have no love lost for Kangana Ranaut. But I can't find myself joining this chorus of celebrating 'the slap'. If security personnel start taking law into their hands, none of us can be safe."

Anupam Kher said, "Mujhe bara afsos hua. Ek mahila ke saath ek mahila k dwaara jo apne position ka fayeda uthakar is tarah ki harqat ki, bilkul ghalat hai. Iski kanooni karwaayi honi chahiye. Unka koi bhi dosh hai, main yeh nahi keh raha hoon ke inka dosh nhi ho sakta jisne aesa kiya, but yeh apne audhe ka ya position ka fayeda uthakar nahi karna chahiye (I am very sorry. It is absolutely wrong for a woman to take advantage of her position and commit such an act against another woman. Legal action should be taken. I am not saying that they are not at fault, but they should not take advantage of their authority or position like this.)

"Bohot hi democratic ways hai of saying that what you have said in the past which has affected. But to do something like this is very sad and unfortunate. Not only because now Kangana in an MP or actress, Kangana is a woman. I think any kind of violence towards anybody, forget about women, isn't right. Kal ho koi bhi kisi ko bhi kisi bhi baat pe is tarah ki harkat kar sakta hai aur bahana bana sakta hai. Ghalat baat hai (Tomorrow anyone can do this to anyone on any matter and later make excuses. This is wrong)," the actor added.

Punjabi singer Mika Singh backed Kangana Ranaut and wrote, "We as punjabi/ Sikh community has made respect all around the world by our sewa and as saviour. It’s disheartening to hear about the airport episode that took place with Kangana Ranaut. The CISF constable was on duty at the airport and it is her job to ensure the safety of people around."

"It is sad that she thought it was okay to assault a passenger at the airport due to her personal anger about another situation.she should’ve show her anger outside at the airport in civil dress But this is not the way to outburst your emotions. This act of hers will now affect other punjabi ladies and they might get suspended from their jobs just because of the mistake made by one," he added.

Calling it 'wrong', Shekhar Suman added, "Woh ghalat hai, woh toh bohut ghalat hai. Bohot hi durbhagyepurn hai. Aesa kisi k saath nahi hona chahiye (It was very wrong. It was unfortunate. This shouldn't happen with anyone). No one has the right to do this. This is illegal what she has done. She should get punished for this. I understand that she might have some anger or protest in her mind but the way it was expressed was very wrong. It could also have been said in a decent manner...You can't raise your hand on anyone like this."
