Case of Kondana (Amazon Prime Video)
Directed by Devi Prasad Shetty, featuring Vijay Raghavendra and Bhavana Menon in the lead roles, the film is set on the outskirts of Bangalore, the plot centers around a heated confrontation between a fiery Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and his colleagues at a fictional outpost named Kondana. Amidst this turmoil, the ASI faces personal challenges in his love life, while ACP Lakshmi pursues a criminal, and Raju struggles to save his ailing son.
Shivaji Surathkal (ZEE5)
The Case of Ranagiri Rahasya is a mystery thriller directed and co-written by Akash Srivatsa, alongside Abhijith YR, and produced by Anup Hanumanthe Gowda. Starring Ramesh Aravind and Radhika Narayan, the movie is inspired by Murder on the Orient Express, it became the highest-grossing Kannada film of 2020, leading to the creation of a successful franchise. The sequel, Shivaji Surathkal: The Mysterious Case of Maayavi, was released on April 14, 2023. In the original film, Detective Shivaji Surathkal investigates the murder of Roshan Ravi, the son of Home Minister Rajiv Ravi, at a remote resort in Ranagiri. As Shivaji delves into the case, he grapples with personal trauma from his wife Janani's death and interrogates 11 suspects connected to Roshan's demise.
Kantara (Amazon Prime Video)
Action thriller film written and directed by Rishab Shetty, and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films. Featuring Shetty in a dual role, the film also stars Kishore as Murali, a dedicated forest officer. Kantara received critical acclaim for its performances, direction, soundtrack, and depiction of Bhuta Kola.
