Upcoming Kannada OTT Releases: The Kannada film industry faced a challenging year in 2023 when it came to OTT releases. There have been minimal direct digital releases, and many of the approximately 100 films that debuted in the first half of the year are still searching for a digital platform. Netflix doesn't typically acquire Kannada films, and Amazon Prime Video occasionally selects a title. The industry is holding out hope that Sun Network or Jio Cinema will step in, but even in those cases, Kannada releases have been infrequent.
