Kannur Squad Box Office Collection Day 4: Mammootty’s Crime Thriller Inches Towards Rs 20 Crore Mark After Witnessing Clash with Chandramukhi 2

‘Kannur Squad’ is one of the most anticipated crime dramas of 2023 starring Mammootty in the lead role. The film is helmed by Roby Varghese Raj and also features Vijayaraghavan, Rony David Raj, Kishore Kumar G, Shabareesh Varma, and Sunny Wayne. The film marks the directorial debut of the director and marks the fourth venture of Mammootty’s own production company. The film hit theatres on September 28 and witnessed a clash with Kanagana Ranaut’s ‘Chandramukhi 2.’

Talking about the box office record of the film, ‘Kannur Squad minted Rs 4.50 Crore on Day 4, taking the total collection of the film to be around Rs 12.55 Crore. The film will soon enter the Rs 20 Crore club. However, looking at the buzz of the film, ‘Kannur Squad’ did not live up to the expectations of the audience and witnessed a rather small start at the box office.

The film is a thriller in which a team of investigation officers lead a journey with several clues on the way in order to arrest a few deadly criminals. The team is led by Mammootty’s character and is inspired by true events. It is the first time the superstar has played a police officer in a rank below sub-inspector.

The film will release on the streaming platform Sony LIV after its theatrical run. The official date of the film releasing on the OTT platform is yet to be announced by the makers. The film als o stars Azees Nedumangad, Sajin Cherukayil, Deepak Parambol, Gibin Gopinath, and Sarath Sabha in pivotal roles.
