Kapil Sharma has moved his comedy show to Netflix, leaving his TV slot open. This gap will now be filled by the well-known stand-up comedian Zakir Khan, who is set to bring a fresh show to television.

Zakir Khan, famous for his unique blend of poetry and comedy, will debut his new show in August. This show promises to continue the tradition of featuring Bollywood celebrities, which was a popular aspect of Kapil Sharma's program.

According to a Hindustan Times report, Zakir's new show will mix shayari (poetry) and comedy, a style that has garnered him a dedicated fan base. As per the report, "Zakir’s show will have a mix of shayari and comedy, which is typical Zakir style. The comedian has built his own audience that connects with his shayarana side, and with this show, he aims to reach a wider audience."

Currently, the TV slot left by Kapil Sharma’s show is being temporarily filled by 'Madness Machayenge - India Ko Hassayenge', which features actor Huma Qureshi as a regular guest. This show is expected to wrap up soon, making way for Zakir Khan’s new program.

Zakir Khan’s show will be his second television venture. He previously appeared as a mentor on the fifth season of 'The Great Indian Laughter Challenge' in 2017 and hosted an OTT comedy show called 'Farzi Mushaira', where he combined shayari and comedy with notable guests.

Meanwhile, Kapil Sharma’s OTT show, 'The Great Indian Kapil Show', recently completed filming despite rumours of low ratings. The team denied these claims and announced upcoming guests, including the cast of "Heeramandi," Ed Sheeran, Rajkummar Rao, and Janhvi Kapoor.

'Madness Machayenge', which has temporarily replaced Kapil’s TV show, faced criticism from Karan Johar for its mimicry. However, excitement is building for Zakir Khan’s upcoming show, with the guest lineup still being finalized.
