Kareena Kapoor Khan has been gearing up for her upcoming mystery thriller movie The Buckingham Murders. The trailer of the film has been released on September 3. Recently during the trailer launch event, a reporter was heard praising Hansal Mehta’s Shahid movie. As soon as the ‘Shahid’ name was taken, people present in the hall started hooting which made Kareena uncomfortable. For the unversed, Kareena and Shahid Kapoor dated for many years and were quite vocal about their relationship. They have given many hit movies together such as Jab We Met, Chup Chup Ke and Fida. Despite the hooting around her, Kareena maintained a dignified silence and focused on the question.

Kareena Kapoor will be seen portraying the role of a detective named Jasmeet Bhamra. This is the first time the actress has essayed the role of a detective on the silver screen. The much-anticipated movie has been directed by Hansal Mehta. It also stars Ranveer Brar, Rukku Nahar, Ash Tandon, Kapil Redekar, Keith Allen and Daniel Eghan in key roles. The Buckingham Murders was earlier scheduled to release on Netflix but after finding a theatrical slot makers have chosen to release the film in theatres. Now, the movie is scheduled to be released in theatres on 13th September. It is also a special movie because Kareena became one of the producers of the film.
