Kaun Banega Crorepati 16: The game show based on the British program 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?', hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, features contestants answering multiple-choice questions to win progressively higher cash prizes, with the ultimate jackpot being Rs 7 crore. KBC has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of Indian television by combining entertainment with knowledge. Now, the highly anticipated quiz show is gearing up for its 16th season premiere next month. Reportedly, the shooting for the game has begun today, July 24.

Reports indicate that the host and veteran actor, Amitabh Bachchan, conducted a mock shoot a few days ago, with full-fledged production for the new season scheduled to begin on Wednesday.

According to India Today, "The team had a wonderful mock shoot and is pumped to begin work on the season with new energy. The team has retained the original format and not implemented any key changes overall. Bachchan sir, of course, is as excited as always to come back to the KBC set."

Release date

'Kaun Banega Crorepati 16' is scheduled to be broadcasted Monday through Friday at 9 pm starting from August 12th. Following extensive anticipation and interest from the audience, the producers have confirmed the launch date for Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. Sony LIV took to Instagram and wrote, "Zindagi har mod par sawal poochegi jawaab toh dena hoga. Watch Kaun Banega Crorepati streaming from 12th Aug , Mon-Fri – 9 PM on Sony LIV."

Amitabh Bachchan has been actively filming the latest season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, with production underway for several months. The Bollywood icon has been sharing glimpses from the sets of KBC 16, offering fans a sneak peek into the making of this iconic quiz show. Recently, he posted an update on X, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the ongoing excitement. Alongside the image, Amitabh Bachchan said, "Love and respect ... it’s very late ... just got back from work ... and have to leave again for work in a few short hours ... so shall connect later ...," he posted.
