Rakht Brahmand: Ali Fazal, who was last seen in Mirzapur 3, has landed his next major project, the fantasy drama series. He will star opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu in this Raj and DK production, helmed by Rahi Anil Barve, known for directing the acclaimed 2018 horror-drama Tumbbad. Joining the duo in leading roles are Aditya Roy Kapoor and Wamiqa Gabbi. The 6-episode limited series Rakht Brahmand is set to commence shooting in Mumbai next week.

According to reports, Ali Fazal is slated to join the set in August. "Ali will be shooting for the series through August while also completing small schedules of his other projects. The show can to him and the vision of the show was enough to get Ali excited to be part of the series. It’s a really interesting part, something he has never done before both from character perspective and also genre-wise,” the source further added.

The series has been described as 'a marvelous vision' by the director duo, marking a significant advancement in the fantasy drama genre. "The project is a marvellous vision of Raj & DK; it’s definitely a step forward in its genre of fantasy drama. The cast has finally been locked, and the shoot is set to start next week."

Ali has an exciting lineup of projects on his plate. Apart from his role as a new father, he is set to star in Anurag Basu's eagerly-awaited film 'Metro…In Dino,' alongside Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sensharma, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, among others. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on November 29, 2024.

Additionally, Ali is involved in 'Lahore 1947,' backed by Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, which features Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol in leading roles. Zinta recently announced the completion of her shoot for the film earlier this June. Next, the actor is also part of Mani Ratnam's 'Thug Life,' a period-action film from the South, starring Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Nassar, and others in pivotal roles.
