The Indian music industry lost its gem after the demise of Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK. He passed away on May 31, 2022, at the age of 53 and on his first death anniversary, fans can't help but feel emotional. KK ruled the music industry for over three decades and his mesmerizing and soulful voice touched the hearts of millions. But do you know KK started his career by singing jingles?

Before starting his career as a playback singer in films, KK tried to make ends meet by singing in hotels. He came to Mumbai in 1994 and started his career by singing jingles for several advertisements.

As per reports, KK sang over 3,500 jingles in 11 languages. Take a look at some iconic jingles sung by KK which will make fans nostalgic.

1. Hero Honda:

KK sang the iconic 'Desh Ki Dhadkan' jingle for Hero Honda, which became extremely popular.

2. Colgate:

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan did an advertisement for Colgate and the jingle was sung by KK.

3. Josh Of India:

KK also lent his voice to 'Josh of India', the song for the support of the Indian Cricket Team during the Cricket World Cup of 1999.

4. Hip Hip Hurray Title Track:

The 'Hip Hip Hurray' title track will make many 90s kids nostalgic and it was actually sung by KK along with Hema Sardesai.

5. Just Mohabbat Title Track:

KK also sang the title track of another hit television show 'Just Mohabbat', which starred Kavita Kapoor, Kunal Roy Kapur, Manoj Pahwa, and Irrfan Khan.

KK rose to fame with the breakup anthem song 'Tadap Tadap' from 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' in 1999 and never looked back since then. His debut album 'Pal' and the song 'Yaaron' still take the fans on the journey of nostalgia and make everyone emotional during their school and college farewells.

Apart from Hindi, he also sang in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Bengali. From AR Rahman to Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy to Pritam, KK worked with every prominent music composer in the music industry and enchanted everyone with his songs.
