Alia Bhatt made waves at the 2024 Met Gala with her stunning appearance, wearing a saree designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The theme for this year's gala was 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion', and Alia's choice of attire perfectly aligned with the theme. Sharing her excitement and look from the event on Instagram, Alia captioned her post, "Till we meet again #MetGala2024."
The Bollywood fraternity was quick to shower Alia with praise, with Kareena Kapoor leading the way. Kareena commented on Alia's post, calling her "The Bestest" and adding a string of emojis including a rainbow, red heart, and heart face. Soni Razdan, Alia's mother, also expressed her admiration, calling her daughter "ethereal and beautiful." Tanishaa Mukerji joined in, referring to Alia as a "Lil Princess!"

Fans and followers flooded the comments section with compliments, with one fan comparing her to a Greek Goddess and another applauding her for representing India in a saree and being a "true masterpiece."
Alia's saree was a labour of love, taking 1965 man-hours to craft. She expressed her gratitude towards the 163 individuals involved in the process, including master craftspeople, embroiderers, artists, and dyers.
Alia's upcoming projects include Vasan Bala's 'Jigra', which she will co-produce with Karan Johar, set to release on September 27, 2024. She is also slated to star in a Spy Universe film, with filming scheduled to begin later this year.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor was recently seen in 'Crew' alongside Kriti Sanon and Tabu. Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, the film also features Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, Saswata Chatterjee, Rajesh Sharma, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. In the pipeline, Kareena has Hansal Mehta's 'The Buckingham Murders' and Rohit Shetty's 'Singham Again'.
