As their 18-month service draws to a close, fans eagerly anticipate the imminent discharge of these talented idols like GOT7's Jay B, BTS Jhope and others. This milestone marks the beginning of their highly anticipated return to the music industry, reuniting with fans. Here is a list of popular Kpop idols who are all set to be discharged from the military in 2024.

BTS Jhope- October 17, 2024
BTS member Jhope is all set to return from the military this month. The countdown has begun as ARMYs have been awaiting Jhope’s return with open arms. In September, the Kpop idol took to Weverse and marked the 30-day countdown to his military discharge. He wrote, “One month, exactly 30 days left to go! All that time flew by, but I'm already reminiscing about it, I guess I grew pretty fond of everything here. I've been packing, giving away some of the gear I came to cherish, and my locker's starting to look a bit empty."
Jhope further added, “And that's when the feeling really starts to sink in. I look back, and it all comes flooding back, those early days when I was nervous and tense and didn't know what I know now... that everything would be just fine (even the sound of the locker screeching open was triggering). These days, I look at the new recruits who are just starting out, and I can read their minds. It reminds me a bit of myself, so I find it kind of cute... sigh…”
MONSTA X member Minhyuk- October 3, 2024
South Korean idol and MONSTA X member Minhyuk has officially returned to civilian life after completing his mandatory military service. He was discharged on October 3, following his service at the 5th Infantry Division recruit training centre in Yeoncheon County, Gyeonggi Province.
GOT7's Jay B
K-pop fans are eagerly awaiting the imminent return of Lim Jae-beom, affectionately known as Jay B, the leader of the renowned group GOT7. Following a year of dedicated military service, Jay B is slated for discharge from military duty in the first week of November 2024. Since commencing his military service on February 2, 2023, Jay B has been fulfilling his civic obligations as a public service worker, demonstrating his commitment to his country.
