BTS' V Honoured By ROK ARMY In SDT Webtoon: BTS’ ARMYs were thrilled to discover subtle nods to Kim Taehyung, aka V, in the latest episode of the Republic of Korea Army's (ROK Army) webtoon series, SDT (Military Police Special Forces) season 7 episode 3, titled Training is like an operation! Released on October 4, 2024, the episode cleverly hinted at Taehyung's presence, despite his active duty preventing him from appearing on screen.

Notably, Taehyung, who enlisted on December 11, 2023, and joined the elite SDT unit in January 2024, became the first BTS member to join this specialised force. In the webtoon episode, his stage name V was creatively woven into several dialogue exchanges, sparking excitement among fans.

The episode featured the narrator saying, “"This place where the ‘V’ (view) is good is mine soon!~ the building ‘V’ (view) is also good. The futsal field ‘V’ (view) is also good. The running track ‘V’ (view) is also good."

The ROK Army's SDT webtoon subtly honoured BTS' Taehyung, pronouncing "view" as "V" with emphasis. Fans interpreted this as a proud acknowledgement of his military service. The official YouTube channel also acknowledged Taehyung's impact by pinning a fan comment, showcasing the Kpop star's influence in promoting SDT's strict training.

A fan wrote, "Taehyung is the example of "A king rule everywhere not in just one thing". He literally turned sk military upside down lmao the way all soliders want to be close to him in some way he's stan attractor for a reason no matter what he's doing or where he may be HIS IMPACT IS CRAZY!!"
