The much-awaited fourth instalment of the popular superhero franchise Krrish is officially happening! In an exciting update, Hrithik Roshan is all set to make his directorial debut with Krrish 4, taking over from his father, Rakesh Roshan, who directed the previous films in the series.
The announcement was made by Rakesh Roshan, who shared a heartfelt post on Instagram. Expressing his pride, he wrote, "Duggu, 25 years back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years, you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers, Aditya Chopra & myself, to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings!" Hrithik’s girlfriend, actor Saba Azad, also reacted to the post with heart emojis.

Produced by Rakesh Roshan and Aditya Chopra, Krrish 4 marks a new chapter for the franchise, which has been a fan-favourite since its inception. Fans have eagerly waited for a new instalment since Krrish 3 was released in 2013, and the excitement is palpable. Many took to social media to express their joy, with one fan calling it "Krazzyyy news," while another predicted that the film would break box office records.
While Hrithik has been the face of the Krrish franchise, it remains to be seen whether he will reprise his iconic role or introduce a new lead actor. The film's cast and crew details are yet to be announced, and fans are eager to learn more about what Krrish 4 has in store.
The Krrish series is a continuation of Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), which introduced audiences to Rohit Mehra (Hrithik Roshan) and his extraordinary connection with an alien named Jadoo. The first Krrish film, released in 2006, followed Rohit’s son Krishna, who inherited superhuman abilities and became the masked superhero Krrish. The franchise has since expanded with Krrish 3 (2013), cementing its place as one of India's most successful superhero series.
