L2 Empuraan: Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Malayalam action thriller movie released in theatres today. The film has created a buzz since the posters were released on social media handles. The recent speculations sparked about who the main villain is in L2 Empuraan. Om March 25, when Mohanlal and Prithviraj shared a poster of a mysterious man, fans speculated that either he is Aamir Khan or Rick Yune. The superstars shared a poster on their social media handles and wrote, “2 days to go! #L2E #EMPURAAN In theatres worldwide from 27/03/25.”

Seeing the mysterious poster, A fan asked, “Amir Khan?????” Another wrote, “Rick yune.” A comment read, “Rick Yune American actor and screenwriter.” A user said, “If Aamir Khan is the villain, the face-off will be huge.” Another fan said, “Hey @AskPerplexity and @grok does this photo have major resemblance to rick yune please do analyse and tell me.” A user pointed, “Has anyone noticed that in Lucifer there was always a lighter in Bobby's hand and it had the same dragon symbol on it... coincidence???” A fan even shared AI posters and stated “Lots of guesses out there! I just created some AI-generated images and am curious to know who the real supervillain in Empuraan is. 27/03/2025.”

The debate has not ended here, another post resurfaced on X, which features Vivek Oberoi’s snap. Sharing the snap, a user wrote “When the villain is as strong as the hero, that's when the story hits different!" Boby >>>> #Lucifer #Empuraan #L2E.” This indicates that the actor might be the main villain in the L2 Empuraan this time too. Oberoi was the main antagonist in the movie’s prequel, Lucifer. However, it is not clear yet who the main villain in the film is or who is the man behind the mysterious poster.

Recently, in an interview with Galatta Plus, Prithviraj compared the acting style of Mohanlal and Vivek Oberoi. The filmmaker and actor said, “When it comes to Vivek Oberoi, if you do 18 takes, you can choose any take, because everything is pinpoint the same.” Prithviraj further shared that Vivek follows directorial instructions, delivering the same level of performance in each take.
