About Laapataa Ladies

The narrative of Laapataa Ladies intricately weaves together the essence of India's heartland with urban themes, portraying a delightful chaos when two young brides lose their way from a train. Set against the backdrop of rural India in 2001, the story holds a unique charm with its universal appeal.

Adapted from Biplab Goswami's acclaimed narrative 'Two Brides,' the film serves as a social critique on the confinement of women and the loss of their identity symbolised by the ghoonghat. It tackles the theme of women's autonomy, infusing it with humour and comedy.

Laapataa Ladies introduces three promising newcomers, Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, and Sparsh Shrivastava, whose on-screen chemistry, evident in the trailer and songs, promises an enchanting cinematic experience. Additionally, the film features accomplished performers such as Chhaya Kadam, Durgesh Kumar, and Ravi Kishan.
