All About The 'Boycott Laila' Controversy
The cast member Prudhvi Raj made contentious remarks about political personalities on February 9 at the Laila pre-release event, sparking a 'Boycott Laila' movement on Twitter. The actor mocked some political personalities in the remarks, which had political overtones and made reference to the most recent Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections. Despite Prudhvi's apology, a lot of people online, especially YSR Congress Party supporters, demanded that the movie be boycotted.
