New Delhi | Jagran Entertainment Desk: Legendary Bollywood singer with a career spanning decades Lata Mangeshkar joined photo-sharing site Instagram on Monday. Mangeshkar who recently turned 90 years old, shared a picture of her holding a book with a couple of portraits on either side.

The veteran singer can be seen in a trademark white saree looking graceful as ever. "Namaskar! Aaj pehli baar aap sabse Instagram pe jud rahi hun, she captioned.

Mangeshkar celebrated her 90th birthday on Saturday, September 28. A host of celebrities and key personalities such as President Ram Nath Kovind, Amitabh Bachchan, Asha Bhosle, Rishi Kapoor, A R Rahman, among others wished her on social media.

Prime Minister had a telephonic conversation with the iconic singer and address her on 'Mann Ki Baat'-- a monthly radio address. PM Modi had said every Indian show deep regard for her revere her."She is elder to most of us and has been witness to myriad phases, different eras the country has passed through. We address her as “DIDI”…Lata Didi. She turns 90 today," PM Modi had said.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan had shared a seven-minute-long clip to pay respects to the singer.

Lata was recently in news for her comments on Bengal's singing sensation Ranu Mondal. In an interview, the singer had said that if anyone gets benefit from my work and name then she feels very fortunate. She had said that one should be original as singing songs of others: Kishore Kumar, Mohd Rafi, Asha and Mukesh will only give short time attention to aspiring singers.
