Lee Sang Yi and Han Ji Hyun have been confirmed for the lead roles in an upcoming rom-com spin-off. This new series will follow characters from the not-yet-released drama Because I Want No Loss, featuring Shin Min Ah and Kim Young Dae.

According to a report from TenAsia on July 4th, the new series titled The CEO's Meal Plan (literal title) will be a TVING original production. Both actors' agencies, GOODFRIENDS Company and SBD Entertainment, have confirmed their involvement. Lee Sang Yi will play a company CEO, while Han Ji Hyun will portray a company nutritionist. This setup has fans wondering if it will evoke the charm of the hit 2022 Kdrama Business Proposal starring Ahn Hyo Seop and Kim Sejeong.

The CEO's Meal Plan is a spin-off of Because I Want No Loss, a drama penned by Kim Hye Young, the writer behind the acclaimed Kdrama Her Private Life. The original series stars Shin Min Ah and Kim Young Dae and revolves around Son Hae Young, a woman who pretends to be married to get a promotion and Kim Ji Wook, a kind-hearted man who becomes her fake husband to help her avoid any losses.

The CEO's Meal Plan will continue the storyline of Lee Sang Yi and Han Ji Hyun’s characters from Because I Want No Loss, expanding on their roles with additional scenes and story enhancements. According to the actors' agencies, filming for the series has already been completed. The show is scheduled to air right after Because I Want No Loss, marking Lee Sang Yi's first lead role in a romantic comedy. Because I Want No Loss is expected to premiere in August 2024.
