Thalapathy Vijay has reunited with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for his upcoming action-thriller 'Leo: Bloody Sweet'. The movie has created a lot of excitement among the fans ahead of its release and is one of the most anticipated films of 2023. Apart from Thalapathy Vijay, several big names including stars Sanjay Dutt and Trisha Krishnan are associated with the film. After watching the trailer of 'Leo', fans have already termed the film a blockbuster. The first review of 'Leo' is out now and it has given more assurance to the fans about the film.

The distributor's post reads, "LEO is intense. With strong violence and detailed gory scenes that ended up being more graphic than even we anticipated, it's not for the faint-hearted. Although we targeted a 15+ rating for "LEO", the BBFC gave it an 18+, meaning only those aged 18 and up can see it in cinemas. This unfortunately excludes younger students between the ages of 15-17."

The post adds, "After discussions with the BBFC, we found a path to a "15" rated version of "LEO" with very minimal unnoticeable refining (softening ultra close-up shots of just a few violent and gory aftermaths). Working closely with the producers, we ensured these updates were done with precision, with zero effects to the film's core, flow, standout moments, and Thalapathy's much-loved mass appeal."

As per reports, Netflix has bagged the OTT rights of 'Leo' for a whopping Rs 125 crore. Neither the makers nor Netflix have confirmed this report yet.

For the unversed, 'Leo' will be the third instalment of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Cinematic Universe aka LCU. Kamal Haasan's 'Vikram' and Karthi's 'Kaithi' are also part of LCU.

'Leo' is produced by Seven Screen Studio with the music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The cinematography and editing are handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Philomin Raj respectively. The movie also stars Priya Anand, Arjun and Mansoor Ali Khan in pivotal roles.
