Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj are all set to create their magic on the big screen with their upcoming highly-anticipated flick 'Leo'. The movie will also star Trisha Krishnan and Sanjay Dutt in key roles. Recently, the makers dropped the much-awaited trailer of Leo which created controversy with a specific dialogue spoken by Thalapathy Vijay’s character Parthiban.
Leo Cuss Word Controversy
In that particular scene, Parthiban expresses his frustration to his on-screen wife, portrayed by Trisha Krishnan, and employs a cuss word to refer to his adversary. Now, 'Leo' director Lokesh Kanagaraj opened up about the same and stated that the word was used by Vijay’s on-screen character and not by the actor. He said that the inclusion of that specific word in the dialogue was crucial for the scene as it effectively conveyed the protagonist's emotions to the audience. Additionally, he emphasized that he would take full responsibility for incorporating such a line in the film.
According to a report in Gulte.com, Kanagaraj went on to state, “When we were about to shoot that scene, Thalapathy Vijay asked me, ‘Is this okay? Will it be problematic if I say this?’ I convinced him that it was the right choice for the character and the scene. I’ll take full responsibility for it.”
