Leo vs Salaar: Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay is currently gearing up for the release of his forthcoming highly-anticipated flick 'Leo', which is scheduled to hit the theatres on October 19, 2023. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun in lead roles. The film is currently shouldering a considerable weight of anticipation within the realm of both devoted fans and industry insiders, with even the preliminary buzz preceding its release exuding an overwhelmingly positive aura.

Meanwhile, Leo has achieved a big feat ahead of its theatrical release. The movie has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the top spot as the most eagerly anticipated Indian movie of the season, surpassing Prabhas' highly anticipated pan-India action drama, 'Salaar', which had previously held that position with 364.4K interests on BookMyShow. 

This accomplishment is particularly noteworthy because 'Leo' achieved this feat despite having relatively minimal buzz in North India, where typically, such large-scale movie interests are generated.

According to a report in 123Telugu, among the most eagerly anticipated movies currently ranked within the top five on BookMyShow (BMS), Allu Arjun's ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ leads the pack with an impressive 114,000 interests, closely followed by Prithviraj Sukumaran's ‘Aaadujeevitham’ with 1,11,000 interests and Salman Khan's highly anticipated ‘Tiger 3’ at 1,10,000 interests. These films have garnered substantial excitement and attention from moviegoers and enthusiasts alike.

Salaar New Release Date

It is pertinent to note that 'Salaar' was earlier scheduled to hit the theatres on September 28, 2023, but it got postponed owing to some major reasons. Recently, Hombale Films released a statement and unveiled the new release date for Leo. It wrote on X, "𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐒𝐨𝐨𝐧!#SalaarCeaseFire Worldwide Release On Dec 22, 2023."
