It has come to light that he had extended his trip to Argentina to spend time with bandmate Niall Horan. Pablo Policicchio, communications director for the Buenos Aires Security Ministry, confirmed that the 31-year-old singer jumped from the balcony of his third-floor room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel. His untimely passing has left fans and the music industry in profound mourning as inquiries into the circumstances surrounding his death continue.
Authorities are investigating whether he experienced a substance-related episode prior to the incident. Reportedly, police discovered narcotics, alcohol and damaged furniture in his hotel room, raising concerns about his state of mind. Additionally, the prosecutor's office noted that the nature of his injuries indicated he likely did not brace himself during the fall, suggesting he may have been unconscious or disoriented. However, certain details have now emerged.
Liam and his girlfriend, Cassidy, had differing plans for their trip to Argentina, as reported by News 18. She returned to Florida four days before the tragic incident. A friend revealed that Liam hadn’t communicated when he would be ready to leave, prompting her to book her own flight home, which left him feeling quite upset. According to Liam's friend, the singer didn’t want Kate to leave Argentina. "He wanted her to stay. She says he begged her to stay. It was actually a little more heated than you’d think. He didn’t know why she would leave him, but she wanted to be home with her dog. He didn’t like that at all. He was really moody about it."

Authorities have revealed that Liam Payne spent the two hours leading up to his death with two 25-year-old women he met through an escort website. The women reported that they were drinking with Payne in his hotel room at the CasaSur when a dispute over payment arose, prompting them to leave about an hour before his tragic fall.
Before the fatal incident around 5 p.m., Liam was seen arguing with a woman, believed to be one of the escorts, in the hotel lobby around 2 p.m. A witness, Michael Fleishmann, told the Buenos Aires Herald that Payne repeatedly mentioned his wealth, saying he had $55 million and offered to give her $20,000 just because he could.
