JE Entertainment Desk: Have you ever witnessed a "Dadi" being very brazen and discussing "s*x" in front of her granddaughter's in-laws? Neena Gupta's speech in the opening sequence of Lust Stories 2 about the significance of testing sexual compatibility before marriage grabs attention.
Lust Stories 2: Plot
The concept of Lust Stories Season 2 remains the same as the first — a collection of anthology films with recurring themes of sexual relationships, intimacy problems, and other related subjects. This time, four intriguing directors — R Balki, Konkona Sen Sharma, Amit R Sharma and Sujoy Ghosh — are at the helmer.

Lust Stories 2: What Works?
The anthology's opening sequence with Neena Gupta is an instant classic. Who could fathom a 'Dadi' stating, 'Ek choti si gaadi lene se pehle test drive karte ho na. Toh Shaadi Se Pehle No Test Drive (You take a car for a test drive before purchasing it, don't you? Then why are you so afraid to take a test drive before getting married? Lust Stories 2 features several noteworthy moments, like the reference of "Mount Fuji" and Mrunal Thakur and Angad Bedi avoiding her, and many more.
The first film is by R Balki, who injects laughter across the often difficult and frequently sensitive subject. The show seems to be a sly dig at all those families that let their kids pick a partner of their choosing and act like they're really progressive and contemporary, but the minute you bring up "s*x," there's discomfort and total quiet.
The second movie, directed by Konkona Sen, tells a more in-depth story of Tillotama Shome, who surreptitiously watches Amruta Subhash, who plays her housekeeper, have s*x with her husband in the former’s home. They give their characters a fine-grained delicacy that makes the movie fascinating to watch.
The next up is Sujoy Ghosh’s segment, starring Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma in the lead roles. The segment's highly unique looking set truly drew my attention.
A special shout out to the fourth segment, starring Kajol and Kumud Mishra. I must say, out of all four segments, the last one stood out with the former bringing in a lot of emotions.Kumud's negative part has been written pretty effectively, and at some point, you'll feel uneasy with his character. The entire segment featuring Kumud and Kajol deserves a five-star rating since they are without a doubt spectacular.
Lust Stories 2: What Doesn’t Work?
Except for the buzz around Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma's kiss and chemistry, Sujoy Ghosh's segment doesn't particularly stand out. I'm not very impressed by their performances or the plot; rather, it occasionally seems like an unwelcome addition to the anthology as a whole. I'm dissatisfied, despite all the hoopla around Tamannaah and Vijay Varma.
Even in R Balki’s segment, starring Mrunal Thakur and Angad Bedi, the latter should have been given more screen time so as to make his persona seem more endearing. Also, Mrunal's character was laughing excessively, which at one point irritated me.
Lust Stories 2: Final Verdict
After Lust Stories, the second anthology with the same name is a potpourri of emotions. Even while Lust Stories 2 occasionally lets you down, there is so much about it that will leave you in awe. The anthology features a lot more than simply s*x, as previously mentioned by the creators, making it an interesting watch. As the weekend approaches, I would suggest you watch Lust Stories 2 at least once.
