Now, the actor is set to captivate the audience once again with his upcoming film, Mahavatar and has unveiled the first look from the movie, generating immense excitement among fans and cinema enthusiasts alike.

Vicky Kaushal As Lord Parshuram In Mahavatar

Vicky Kaushal took to his Instagram handle and dropped the motion poster of Mahavatar. He wrote, “Dinesh Vijan brings to life the story of the eternal warrior of dharma!Vicky Kaushal stars as Chiranjeevi Parashurama in #Mahavatar, directed by Amar Kaushik.Coming to cinemas - Christmas 2026!” According to the announcement, Mahavatar will hit the theatres in Christmas 2026.

Vicky Kaushal's highly anticipated film, in which he will portray Lord Parshuram, is set to begin production in November 2026, following the completion of his project with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Love & War. According to sources, Kaushal was drawn to producer Dinesh Vijan's mega-budget script and signed on without hesitation. The epic feature film promises to be a grand undertaking, with Kaushal eager to bring the legendary character to life on the big screen.

According to News 18, the source further added, “The pre-production work for Parshuram begins in January and the makers are committed to taking the film on floors in November next year. It’s the most ambitious film at Maddock and they plan to bring it to the cinema-going audience with utmost pride. An official announcement will be made soon.”

Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for Chhava. Based on Shivaji Sawant's acclaimed Marathi novel Chhava, the upcoming film is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films. The movie boasts a talented cast, including Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna. Following pre-production initiation in April 2023 and filming from October 2023 to May 2024, the project is now complete. The film's music, composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman, with lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, promises to be a highlight. Chhava is slated for a theatrical release on December 6, 2024.

The actor also has Love and War in the pipeline. The movie also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.
