Malayalam actor Dileep Sankar was found dead in a Thiruvananthapuram hotel room on Sunday morning, December 29. The actor was in the city to film an ongoing serial. The producers claim that he was last on the set two days ago.

The actor had been staying at the hotel while filming his current serial, 'Panchagni.' The hotel staff found him dead when they noticed a bad smell coming from the room.

Known for his parts in well-known TV shows like Ammayarithe and Panchagni, Dileep had not been spotted exiting his room while he was there. Although there are no indications of foul play, according to preliminary reports, authorities are still looking into the reason for his death.

The Malayalam entertainment industry was taken aback by the actor's unexpected passing. Fans adored Dileep Sankar because of his diverse performance in films and TV shows.

The entire industry has been deeply shocked by the actor's tragic death. Actress Seema G. Nair wrote a heartfelt letter of condolence for the deceased. Condolances. You called me five days back, but I couldn't talk to you well then. Now, a journalist called up and informed me. What happened to you Dileep. I am unable to write anything. Condolences (sic), " she wrote.
