Filmmaker Ajay Bhupathi returns with a promising suspenseful thriller, reuniting with Payal Rajput, after the success of Telugu film 'RX 100.' The director is back with his upcoming pan-India film 'Mangalavaaram.' The first official teaser of the film has already started the buzz for the film.
'Mangalavaaram' first official teaser showcases a world full of sounds and images of an unknown village trying to understand and decipher the meaning of a certain sound and person they usually see. The identity of this individual is not revealed in the teaser, but we only see a small boy walking out of a dark valley filled with dense trees, with a man walking with fire around him.

The teaser also has several close-up shots with shocked expressions from the cast of the film. The teaser also asks the audience what they see, with a person speaking one to keep quiet and pay attention, as several people around him start looking upwards to witness something unique and a sense of something hanging in the air can be felt.

'Mangalavaaram' teaser also gives a small peek of a man who uses an idol face mask to hide from the villagers. Payal Rajput also can be seen in the teaser, in which she gets scared by a flashback of a person hiding behind a mask. The engaging background score of the teaser is given by 'Kantara' fame Ajaneesh Loknath.
According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Payal Rajput spoke about the film and said, "When he (Ajay) wanted to meet me, it was already a 'yes' to the project in my heart. When he started narrating the story, I had goosebumps... We shot for three-four months in Ravulapalem. The acting was difficult this time, far more difficult than RX100. When I heard the story, I was clear in my mind that I am going to give it all."

'Mangalavaaram' is produced by Mudhra Media Works and Creative Works and is a suspense thriller set in the 1990s. It also features Nanditha Swetha, Divya Pillai, Azmal, Ravindra Vijay, Krishna Chaitanya, Ajay Gosh, and Shravan Reddy in pivotal roles. 'Mangalavaaram' is a pan-Indian film and will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
