Sreenath Bhasi held in hit and run accident: In a shocking turn of events, Malayalam actor Sreenath Bhasi, renowned for his notable role in Manjummel Boys, found himself at the centre of a controversy after his involvement in a hit-and-run accident in Kochi on October 8. According to reports from Mathrubhumi.com, Bhasi was behind the wheel when his car collided with a motorcycle ridden by Muhammad Faheem, a resident of Chullikkal, Mattancherry, near the Kochi corporation office.
Eyewitnesses alleged that Bhasi's vehicle was speeding when it struck Faheem, causing injuries. The actor purportedly fled the scene without stopping or rendering assistance. This prompted swift legal action, with witnesses identifying the vehicle and filing a police complaint.
Consequently, the Ernakulam Regional Transport Office (RTO) suspended Bhasi's driving licence for one month. The incident has sparked widespread concern, highlighting the importance of responsible driving and accountability. Bhasi's actions have drawn criticism, and the case serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of reckless driving.
Sreenath Bhasi's recent hit-and-run controversy is not an isolated incident, as the Malayalam actor has previously been entangled in legal issues. Notably, Bhasi was interrogated by Kerala police in connection with a high-profile narcotics case involving infamous gangster Om Prakash. Prakash and his associate were apprehended for allegedly peddling cocaine at DJ parties in Kochi, sparking a thorough investigation.
During the probe, Bhasi's name emerged, raising suspicions about his potential involvement. However, after thorough questioning, authorities found insufficient evidence to pursue charges against the actor. Although Bhasi was cleared in the narcotics case, his latest hit-and-run incident has reignited concerns about his judgement and accountability.
