The story revolves around a group of friends, who come across several unexpected misadventures on a vacation trip to Tamil Nadu’s Kodaikanal. The movie is based on a real-life incident that occurred in 2006 when one of the friends from the ground fell into Guna Caves.
The film has been produced by Soubin Shahir, Babu Shahir, and Shawn Antony. It starred Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Khalid Rahman, Jean Paul Lal, Ganapathi S Poduval, Deepak Parambol, Chandu Salimkumar, Balu Varghese, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arun Kurian, and Shebin Benson in pivotal roles.
Last month, renowned music composer Ilaiyaraaja issued a legal notice to the producers for copyright violation. Ilaiyaraaja’s legal team alleged that his song ‘Kanmani Anbodu' from the 1991 film Gunaa has been used unauthorisedly in Manjummel Boys. He has requested the makers to get proper permission from him to use it in the film.
