Sai Tamhankar, popularly known for her work in Mimi, Bhakshak and Manvat Murders, confirmed her breakup with her longtime beau filmmaker Anish Joag. The reports of her breakup sparked after the actress posted a cryptic post on social media which read, “I’m single by choice. Not my choice. But it’s still a choice.” Not only that she also deleted all the pictures with her boyfriend which added more fuel to the speculations. Sai recently admitted to partying ways with Jaog and stated that the decision was mutual. 

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sai said “Yes, we have headed our separate ways and it was a mutual decision. It was tough but it happened and it is what it is. He is a very special person in my life and will always be and I will wish well for him and I know that the other party also feels the same way.” 

“I clearly see the line between my professional and personal life, and I’m very protective of that boundary,” she also added. 

Sai Tamhankar was earlier married to filmmaker Amey Gosavi. She tied knot with Gosavi in 2013 and parted ways in 2015. 

The actress was last seen in SonyLIV's original web series Manvat Murders which starred Ashutosh Gowariker, Sonali Kulkarni, Makarand Anaspure, Kishor Kadam, Umesh Jagtap and Shardul Saraf in key roles. It was released on the OTT platform on October 4, 2024. 

Apart from Manvat Murders, Sai also starred in movies like Hunterrr, Duniyadari, Mimi, Bhakshak, Tu Hi Re, Ashleel Udyog Mitra Mandal, India Lockdown, Sridevi Prasanna and Vazandar to name a few. 

She will be next seen in Ground Zero. It also stars Emraan Hashmi, Zoya Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari. Ground Zero is based on the 2001 Parliament attack.
