Marco OTT Release Update: Unni Mukundan's Telugu movie Marco has received polarised reactions, with some praising its content and others finding the on-screen violence disturbing. Unni clarifies that the critics weren't dismissing the movie, but rather acknowledging its intensity, with some even admitting it was a good film that hit them hard. While speaking to Anmol Jamwal, Unni Mukundan said, “I don’t think Marco will do any good on OTT; I’m very clear about that. I’m going to get ripped apart, for, say, the logic, etc. Certain kinds of cinema are designed for theatres, wherein I want you to cut off from the real world.
“I don’t want to belittle the intelligence of the audience saying that the violence onscreen has now influenced them. I’m just saying that the audience is mature. It’s the intensity of the scenario onscreen that’s affecting them; they are not saying we are bad people,” the filmmaker further added.
Marco, a gripping 2024 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film, has been making waves in the cinematic world. Helmed by the visionary director Haneef Adeni, the film is produced by Shareef Muhammed under the esteemed banner of Cubes Entertainments. The movie boasts an impressive ensemble cast, with the talented Unni Mukundan taking on the titular role of Marco.
He is ably supported by a cast of seasoned actors, including Siddique, Jagadish, Abhimanyu S Thilakan, Kabir Duhan Singh, Anson Paul and Yukti Thareja, who all deliver standout performances in their respective supporting roles. The film's soundtrack, expertly composed by the acclaimed music director Ravi Basrur, perfectly complements the on-screen action and suspense.
