Punjabi film ‘Mastaney’ completed its first weekend scoring high numbers at the box office. The film had a strong start on Friday and then recorded a positive growth on Saturday, making it a blockbuster success. Now, the mid-weekday growth has further cemented it. The weekday trend already called the film to be an ‘All-Time’ blockbuster. On Day 5, the film minted Rs 1.50 Crore on Day 5, taking the total domestic collection of the film to be around Rs 12.46 Crore.
For the Punjabi audience, comedy and devotional films have been some of the biggest hits of all time. The industry recently saw the All Time Blockbuster comedy with ‘Carry On Jatta 3’, which earned around Rs 100 Crore globally. A few years back, ‘Chaar Sahibzade’ had a phenomenal run at the box office and thus emerged to be one of the highest grossing Punjabi films ever.
