‘Mastaney’ features Tarsem Jassar in the lead role and is directed by Sharan Art. The film was released in five languages and recorded a slight jump on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. It had a strong start on Friday and witnessed a box office clash with Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Dream Girl 2.’ Now, the festival break has further cemented the film’s collection. Looking at the weekday growth of the film, ‘Mastaney’ has the potential to go on to add ‘All Time’ in front of its blockbuster collection record.
The film debuted with Rs 2.40 Crore at the box office. On Day 6, the film managed to earn Rs 2.35 Crore. The total box office collection of the film stands around Rs 14.86 Crore. ‘Mastaney’ had an overall 52.03 percent Punjabi occupancy on Day 6.

Even though the film was released in five languages, the majority of the occupancy was from Delhi NCR and Punjab, with an occupancy of 30.50 percent. ‘Mastaney’ is giving neck-to-neck competition to Gippy Grewal’s recent release ‘Carry On Jatta 3.’ However, the film saw a significantly bigger opening than ‘Mastaney.’

Recently, Tarsem Jassar opened up about the film in an interview with The Indian Express, and said, “It [the role] was quite challenging because I have put in all my learnings of all these years as an actor into this role, and have put in whatever I could, to do it justice. It took a lot to get the character right.” ‘Mastaney’ also features Simi Chahal, Karamjit Anmol, Gurpreet Ghuggi, and Honey Mattu in the lead roles.
