Matt LeBlanc pays tribute to Matthew Perry: The sudden demise of Hollywood actor Matthew Perry left his friends, family and fans in grief and shock. He passed away on October 28 at the age of 54 and was laid to rest on November 3 at a Los Angeles cemetery. Perry was best known for playing the role of Chandler in the popular sitcom 'Friends' and his funeral was attended by all the main star cast from the show. Matt Le Blanc, who played the role of Joey and Chandler's best friend in 'Friends', paid a heartbreaking tribute to Matthew Perry on social media.

Sharing several pictures with Matthew Perry on Instagram, Matt LeBlanc wrote, "Matthew, It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never. Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me."

The 'Friends' stars shared a joint statement on Matthew Perry's demise, expressing their grief and condolences. The statement reads, "We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss."

"In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world," the statement added.

Perry was found unconscious in his jacuzzi at his apartment in Los Angeles and the first responders were unable to revive him. The Los Angeles Times and TMZ report that there were no signs of foul play and the police are investigating the cause of his death.
