Matthew Perry, best known for his sitcom 'Friends', has passed away at the age of 54. According to reports, he was found unconscious in his jacuzzi at his apartment in Los Angeles and the first responders were unable to revive him. The Los Angeles Times and TMZ report that there were no signs of foul play and the police are investigating the cause of his death.

Matthew Perry gained worldwide recognition after playing the role of Chandler in the popular sitcom 'Friends' from 1994 to 2004. He starred in several hit films including 'Fools Rush In', 'Almost Heroes', 'The Whole Nine Yards', 'The Ron Clark Story' and '17 Again'.

In 2022, he published his memoir 'Friends, Lovers And The Big Terrible Things' and talked about his battle with severe anxiety and addiction to painkillers and alcohol. Matthew Perry revealed that he attended rehabilitation clinics on multiple occasions and had gone through detox 65 times, spending some $9 million in attempts to get sober.

He suffered from several health issues and was admitted to the hospital in 2018 after a burst colon, which required a seven-hour surgery and the use of a colostomy bag for months after.

Matthew Perry appeared at the reunion of 'Friends' along with his co-stars. After seeing in the 2021 reunion, fans expressed their concern over his health issues. He was briefly engaged his Molly Hurwitz but the couple parted ways in 2021.
