American tennis player Serena Williams grabbed eyeballs on Monday evening as she announced her second pregnancy on the red carpet of MET Gala 2023. The tennis star, who was accompanied by her husband at the red carpet, confirmed the news to reporters present at the venue and revealed that there were ‘three’ of them at the MET Gala 2023.

“Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala,” the tennis legend said in a TikTok post on Monday evening.

The theme of this year's MET Gala 2023 was ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,’ in honour of the late Chanel designer. Several top celebrities from around the world made out their best fashion forward and grabbed eyeballs at the red carpet.

Taking to her Instagram account, Serena Williams posted pictures from the MET Gala. In the pictures, the tennis star could be seen happily posing with her husband Alexis Ohanian Sr. The caption of the post read, “Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the 3 of us to the Met Gala.”

Several social media users took to Serena Williams’ post to react to her images. One user wrote, “Ahhhhhhhhhhh congrats you guys 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 love y’all so much.” Another comment read, “omg I love this for her!!! Prayers for safe pregnancy and delivery for mama and baby.”

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt made her big red carpet debut at the MET Gala 2023. The actor opted for  and atelier Prabal Gurung Ivory silk tulle and satin face organza exaggerated basque waist ball gown embellished with hand beaded pearls to the 2023 Met Gala on Monday night.

The actor thanked the designer for the gown and wrote, “I wanted to do something that felt authentic (hello, pearls!) and proudly made in India. The embroidery, made with a 100,000 pearls is a labour of love by @prabalgurung. I’m so proud to wear you for my first Met.”
